Monitoring is an underutilized lever of competitiveness.

Technology monitoring: an underused competitive edge.

Blocking patent identified too late, incomplete state of the art before a funding round, strategic partner spotted by a competitor: every piece of information missed now has a cost.

A blocking patent spotted too late. An incomplete state of the art ahead of a funding round. A strategic partner snapped up by a competitor. Every missed signal comes at a cost.

But it's essential to be able to conduct it effectively. The number of patents filed increases every year, thousands of scientific articles are published daily, and information is scattered across patent databases, journals, theses, and project registries. Faced with this information overload, serious monitoring requires time and specialized skills. Without a dedicated team or tools, it's often relegated to the back burner, when it should be continuously informing your innovation strategies.

The challenge is doing it well. Patent filings rise every year, thousands of scientific papers are published every day, and the information is scattered across patent databases, journals, theses and project registries. Keeping up takes time and specialist skills. Without a dedicated team or tool, monitoring slips down the priority list, when it should be feeding your innovation strategy continuously.
